What it does
Epson reset software for the waste ink pad counter
Every page your Epson prints, a little ink goes to a pad inside the machine. The printer counts those drops, and once the count hits its limit it stops printing — two blinking lights, or error E-11 / E-12. Nothing is broken; a counter is simply full. VNIT Reset Tool puts that counter back to 0% and the printer goes back to work.

Not every Epson can be fixed this way. 1,115 models reset in software. Around 475 newer ones use a maintenance box with a chip in it (C9344, C9345, T04D1) — on those, no software on earth will help and the box has to be replaced. Two seconds in the lookup table tells you which camp you're in.

The whole process
Four steps, about five minutes
STEP 01
Download and unzip
Unzip it somewhere real — Desktop is fine. Running it from inside the zip is the number one cause of odd errors.
STEP 02
Connect the printer, hit Check
Plug in the USB cable. Printer switched on. You'll see the model, the serial and how full the counter is. If it's 90% or more you can run the 🎁 free trial reset right here and watch the error clear.
STEP 03
Get a key — US$6
Card or PayPal. The key is emailed to you automatically, so there's nothing to wait for.
STEP 04
Paste it, reset, restart the printer
The counter goes to 0%. Then switch the printer off and back on — skip that and you'll swear the reset failed. It didn't.

Frequently asked questions
It's a small program for Windows and Mac that VNIT writes and licenses. It talks to your Epson over a USB cable, reads the waste ink pad counter and — with a key — sets it back to 0%, which is what clears the “end of service life” lockout. Reading is free, a key is US$6, and 1,115 models reset in software. If you'd rather someone else did it, we also reset printers remotely, in Vietnam or abroad.
Yes, and so is reading your counter. You only pay if you decide to clear it to 0%.
Yes. The free trial reset lowers the waste ink pad counter to 85% without any key — the printer stops reporting the error and prints normally, so you can prove the tool really works on your machine before paying. It runs once per printer and only when the counter is already at 90% or higher (below that there would be nothing to lower). Because the counter is left high, the error returns sooner than after a full reset to 0% — that is what the US$6 key is for. Remember to switch the printer off and back on after any reset.
Use a USB cable: it works on every supported printer, and most models can only be read and reset over USB. Wi-Fi works on just a few models (tested OK on the L805; the L5290 and ET-2800 do not work over Wi-Fi). If the tool does not find your printer over the network, plug in the cable.
A single key is for one reset on one printer. If you look after several printers, the 5-key (US$25) and 10-key (US$50) packs work out cheaper per reset, and keys do not expire. Repair shops resetting many machines should ask about a technician key (one machine, annual) or wholesale rates.

First check your spam or promotions folder, since the key arrives as an automated email. If it is still missing a few minutes after payment, message us on WhatsApp with the email address you paid with and we will send the key manually — your purchase is recorded either way, so nothing is lost.
Probably — 1,115 models can. The exception is newer machines with a chipped maintenance box (around 475 of them): on those the box itself has to be replaced and no software will do it. Check yours on the Epson reset lookup table.
If you can plug in a USB cable and click a button, you can do this — the tool does the rest. And if you'd still rather not, a VNIT technician can do it remotely over UltraViewer or TeamViewer, wherever you are, from 150,000₫ in Vietnam, US$10 from abroad, paid only once the printer prints again.
Nothing is installed — you unzip it and run it, and it doesn't need administrator rights. All it changes is that one counter; firmware is left alone. Worth saying plainly: a reset won't improve print quality. If your pages come out streaky or missing colours, that's the print head and a reset won't touch it.
